An appreciation, and a cautionary note, following Lance Armstrong’s (second) announced retirement appears in Friday’s New York Times (although it actually appeared in West Coast printed editions on Sunday), worthy of a read and some reflection.
The writer, Christopher Clarey, says that all Lance has done in his fund-raising to assist cancer survivors, which is amazing, and all that he has achieved as a rider, equally awe inspiriing, hinges on the question yet to be answered: Did he cheat?
